Hi all just wondering what are my chances of getting into DO school with a 3.4 overall gpa and a 3.3 science gpa? My most recent science grades are pretty good, but had a terrible start to my college career.
I was in a prior health care professional program receiving pretty low grades and being dismissed after 1 year due to a 2.07 science gpa. The IA was due to low grades not cheating or anything like that.
Assuming I do well on the mcat and have good EC/shadowing/research what are my chances?

Grades are in the ballpark, and if the IA is just academic and you show a strong upward trend, I don't see an issue. Now, that also means a solid rest of your app. Shoot for 505+ on your mcat.
Agree 1000%. IAs due to academics are ignored at my school when you show that you can handle classes.

Hello!! I can't speak for the IA but I had the exact same metrics as you (3.4 cgpa/3.3 sgpa). I did fairly well on the mcat (514) so I suppose that and the rest of my app might be what landed me 3 IIs- 2 DO (1 Goro-recommended and 1 not haha) and 1 MD. I was accepted at both the DO schools I interviewed at so if it's the low grades you're worried about you can do it! Just be sure to apply broadly. ^__^
