So on the AAMC when you apply (primary) it gives u the option of MD, MD PhD, MD/graduate degree *depending on the school*.

Is it better to apply MD then change up to an MD/degree ? or should I apply MD degree?

I would like to get an MBA with my MD but im feeling that doing a double would hurt me in the app process and maybe I could switch it up later if they accept me to their MD programs

Somehow I thought it fit, does Applying MD vs MD/Degree affect your chances or is this under the soul discretion of the school?

would you recommend a better place to post this question?

ill remove it or try to if you know a better place

Most people would say its harder. Since you first need to get into the MD program then get into the MBA program. Or if you're looking at the extreme a MD/PhD then you need majorly higher stats, usually 2-3 extra points on the mcat and a .1-.3 higher gpa average. Not to mention the requirement/recommendation of 3 or more years of research.

So overall any dual degree program will be more difficult to enter then the MD program alone

Also this is more of a pre-allo forum question then a WAMC.

MD/MBA is about the same as MD, because if you get into the MD, you're going to get into the MBA for all intents and purposes.
