So what does waitlisting at SIU really mean? Does it mean I am waitlisted for acceptance? Interview? I haven't had an interview at SIU and I think it is not mandatory so I think I am waitlisted for acceptance. Also, what are the chances of getting in if your waitlisted?

Thanks

Hey ASUgrad,
I too have been waitlisted according to infosource. You're right, SIU doesnt require formal interviews but they say its good to visit the school and meet with an admissions person. I went for exactly that and was basically told that I would likely NOT get in this cycle....so i dunno if its a good sign that I was waitlisted. Hope this helped slightly

I also have been waitlisted at SIUE... for the second year in a row. Last year I was waitlisted around this time and never heard anything until August when I recieved my formal rejection. Going to interview at the school is probably a good idea. I went and interviewed there this fall about 5 weeks ago. Not to bring anyone's hopes down, but SIUE waitlists about 200 people for their 48 spots. I'm not holding my breath... again... 🙁
