Hi everyone. I've been reading this forum for a while, and now that I'm beginning to come close to a state of panic, I would like to ask you how you think my chances are.

I have applied to four schools: Stony Brook, Columbia, UMDNJ, and NYU. AADSAS sent out my application in the middle of July, I took the DAT in the middle of August, and my file has been complete at all the schools since the beginning of September. The reason for the panicing is that I have yet to receive any interviews. Any insight as to why or what I can do would be appreciated.

Here are my stats
GPA: 3.16
Sci GPA: 3.09
Undergrad major: Engineering
DAT: 21/21/21 (my lowest is a 19 on QR)
EC: 120 hours of assisting/shadowing and 3 months as a research assistant in oral oncology (with recs from the dentist with whom I worked and my research advisor who is a maxilliofacial surgeon)

thanks

Well, there's not much you CAN do at this point, but your DATs are solid enough. The interviews will come -- at least from NYU. Might be a little low for Columbia (at least until later in the process) and I dont know about NJ and SB.

add more schools? dont know if that's an option for you. if you're gonna do it, do it soon.

but i am sure nyu will come through, and it sounds like you are an in stater, so stony brook might work as well.

just give it time. gl!

strong dat your gpa isnt the best...but like they said you should apply to more schools
