Chances?

Pretty good stats. Remember though that many schools require a degree, and of the ones that don't, they strongly prefer one.. SCO for example doesn't require a degree but everyone in my class has one. I think you're definitely competitive number-wise, but it depends on your entire app, not just your scores. 👍

also depends on how many outstanding pre-reqs you have, and as mentioned before, the rest of your app.

No doubt, your G.P.A. (I assume you've provided the cumulative value) will be among the highest in the applicant pool, but we have no idea how the rest of your candidacy looks.

I also have tons of experience in optometry. I've worked in an optometrist's office for around 4 years and have been of 2 VOSH (volunteer optometric services to humanity) missions.

Those things will help your application, but know that schools might (I think) look for ambition and ability outside the scope of optometry (i.e., might seek a "well-rounded" candidate). If you're concerned about your appeal to any particular school, I suggest you contact their admissions dept. and ask how competitive you appear to be, and perhaps inquire as to ways by which to strengthen your appeal.

Depending upon the applicant pool this year, I would think your chances are pretty high. Your stats are identical to mine, and I was able to enter optometry school after 3 years. Like someone else said, some schools require a bachelors, but all prefer it. Just know that they may ask you about it during your interview. Good luck!

IU accepts students with GPA's above 3.7 who don't have bachelor degrees. There are a couple in my class, but they went to IU.
