So my advisor told me that most students follow a direct relationship with their GPA. (start off low, and steadilty increase untill they eventually plateau). Until I introduced her to the check mark.
My gpas per semester listed with my science classes:
3.14-
B in Gen chem 1
1.96
D in Gen Chem 2
D in Bio 202 (introduction to cellular)
2.55
B in Gen Chem 2
C+ in Bio 201 (introduction to ecosystems)
C+ in bio 204 (introductory lab)
3.09
B in Microbiology
C in bio 203 (introduction to physiology)
B in physics 1
C+ in bio 205 (introductory lab p2)
3.45
A in bio 150 (introduction bio)
B+ in org chem 1
C+ in phys 2
This semester so far:
A in orgo 1 (expecting A-)
A in bio 358- human social sexual behavior (expecing A)
And 2 electives (expecting A- or higher in each)
Overall expected for the semester: 3.7+.
Overall cum expected: 3.0
Ogpa- 2.87
Scgpa~2.7
nsGpa~3.6
The main problem is that I have 2 D's (one retaken for a B) both of them as you can probably tell are during that 1.96 semester. I am retaking the second D this upcoming semester (fall) and hoping for an A. If you dont count both D's im hovering somewhere aroudn a 3.0 Ogpa.
So assuming that I get the 3.7+ and continue to do that well, what do you guys think my chances of getting in will be. If I continue to get 3.7+'s for the next 2 semesters (after this one) I can probably graduate around a 3.3
I have good dentist recommendations. I will be a TA for organic chem 1 and introductory bio next semester so those are my two teacher recommendations. I also have a good LOR from a non science professor (former dean of my school).
Also excluding the DAT since I wont be taking it till next year (going to need my senior scores to count so I have to take a year off)
