Hi guys I have a O: 3.4 S: 3.3 and I just got my MCAT score, I got a 27N (8,8,11). Do I have a good chance of getting in or am I a underdog? :/

Apply now and to a broad group of schools. I think your just shy of an average matriculant to many DO programs and its anyones guess how competitive any one schools pool is this year. But you have good shot assuming the corresponding EC's etc. My 2 cents.

It really is difficult to tell without getting a more holistic view of your application in terms of extracurriculars, research, and your personal statement. People have certainly gotten into D.O. schools with your GPA and MCAT, so I wouldn't stress about it too much. No matter what anybody tells you on this forum, you'll never know until you try. So I say apply broadly and hope for the best! Good luck in the application process! 🙂

I certainly see what you did there....

Haha wasn't even intentional! But it's true, no?
No ur definitely right, my extracurriculars are great i have started my own club and even went to costa rica to volunteer among many other things ive done.

Hopefully, you also have US clinical experience and US physician shadowing, besides some local nonmedical community service?

If your ECs are well-rounded, LORs supportive, and PS well-written, I definitely see you as getting a DO med school acceptance with your stats. It would help if you shadowed a DO physician and got an LOR or otherwise became knowledgeable about how DO differs from MD before you get to an interview.

You need to work harder. Starting now.
