Chances?

Thanks for your response 🙂 anyone else have any advice on applying this cycle?

I agree that you are in good shape: Dedication to a career in medicine is the most important part, and you have shown that with our ECs.

As far as I can tell, the MCAT is the only thing that might be standing in your way, but even with your score now, you have a shot at a low tier MD school. As long as you raise your verbal score, you will be a shoe in for MD. If you can raise your science scores as well, that can only help you, and they are easier to raise than verbal. Finally, make sure to write excellent essays.

Is it okay if I don't have any non-health community service? Everything I have done in college has been health-related...

30 schools + DO? :uhno:

You have competitive stats if you can break a 30 and get a 32+.
I think that applying to a lot of schools can hinder your secondaries. You will be forced to rush on those without the proper catering to their interests (and yours too).
Only apply to schools you really feel you want to attend.
Last, but not least, submit it as soon as possible! I'm sure you can take a couple of days to submit your app when AMCAS opens.

haha...I may have exaggerated a bit on the number of schools....but since I'm a CA resident, I just want to be on the safe side and apply to as many as I can.
