On the bottom of your unofficial DAT score report form, it says:

"Before official DAT scores are distributed to dental schools, the DAT Program audits all responses to items in order to confirm the accuracy of the scores."

Has there been a case where your official was different? Would they even let us know if we did not request an official copy? I'm just wondering b/c one of the questions I had on PAT section (hole punch) did not make sense at all and was wondering what if they catch it also.. will they do anything about it? If so, will there be a notification?

Pretty sure they won't tell you. Which sucks cause I had a couple impossible questions myself. I even had the misfortune to have a bad image (white page with red "x" mark on it) show up in place of one of the questions and on another question, on one of the answer choices.

I had a similar experience too. I can't say much more b/c of the confidentiality clause.

It is not likely that the scores change. A computer gave the score the first time and I'm sure they will recheck it with another computer. Algorithms to grade the test are the same so honestly what are the chances it would change.

If you had a picture with a red "X" instead then that is a problem loading the question on the computer and will not effect any change to the answer that you marked.

Imagine if it was an actually person. Day after day slaving away making sure that all your answers were the ones the computer thought. Going blind from the tedious scrutinizing of test question after test question. That job would have a high turn over rate. Plus it would take ages to get your unofficial score "officialized."
