Here's a crazy question for you vets out there! So...I'm a semester away from finishing my MPH in Infectious Disease. All I have left is my special project, field experience, and comps. My project (and apparently my interest) would up falling into a branch of health education. I discovered how I want to work in health education especially with vaccine initiatives. The problem is my school won't allow me to "dual concentrate" in disease and health ed. I would have to do basically and entire new MPH. Without a degree in health education, you can't sit for the CHES and work as one. Do I do it? Do I stick with what I have?
I chose infectious disease because I want to go to PA school and work as an infection control practitioner. My MPH program allows you to sit for the exam. What I didn't know at that time was the my degree is pretty much worthless if I do not become a clinician. It's tailored for you to either go the clinical route or the PhD route.
What the hell do I do with my life if I don't get accepted to PA school? And isn't it a bunch of crap that I'm passionate about vaccine initiatives and know all the science, but can't freakin work for one!!!
Done ranting. I need you guys to help me brainstorm please!
