Changing application from cycle to cycle?

How much do you have to change your application from cycle to cycle?
Do your LORs have to be different or can your letter writers use the same letters?
Do you have to change your PS and if so, how much?

Tweak everything you can to better yourself. There's no saying what will get you in, but if you make changes, having at least one of the letter writers discuss how hard you have been working as a reapplicant, that would be good. Have your personal statement read by a writing peer group....if you have friends or family read it, they will all just tell you it is good, because most people aren't writing saavy to be able to pick out the flaws.
