I am thinking about changing my email address on ERAS. Currently I have my school email address and I have already received invites (from prelim programs) on it. But the problem is that I am having trouble synching my school email to my phone ( I can do it but for some reason it doesn't work all the time) and also I receive so many random emails on my school email that it makes it impossible to quickly figure out if it is from a program.

The main reason I put my school address is I thought it looks more professional (silly I know) and I did not anticipate all these synching problems. I am thinking about using my gmail account for ERAS.

My question is this: Have people who put gmail on ERAS experienced any episodes of emails going to their spam filter? How can you avoid that?

Thanks 🙂

I've been using my gmail and haven't had any problems with eras emails or emails from programs going to spam. That being said, I just looked into how to get around the spam filter - looks like if you set a filter with "to: your email address", under actions you can select "never send to spam". That, plus check your spam folder daily (I honestly haven't been doing that), you should be okay.
