Changing from pre-med to another field?

Hello!
I am new to this board and seeking advice.... I have been focused for pre-med for college. I took the MCAT in June and received my scores, 22N. Science gpa is 3.63. At this point, I'm questioning myself, but know I want to do something in health care and am thinking about optometry. Are schools able to find out if you are applying to two different programs?

They will not know unless for example the school of optometry or { insert alternative } you apply to has an associated medical school of which you are applying to as well. You'll be or at least should be already in their systems.
A low mcat score is not indicative of being a bad physician or a stupid person. It is however indicative of being either bad at studying or not studying enough ( both of which you can fix with some help). To properly succeed on the mcat one needs to study for a good few months and possibly take a course. If you believe that medicine might not be for you consider many of the fields available to you. While I am not advocating quitting your pursuit of medicine, but there is a good alternative, podiatry schools ( foot & ankle surgeon school). Their requirements are much lower then medical school around 3.3 gpa/ 22 mcat average? Its something to consider if you are looking for a different field. But I would recommend retaking your mcat after studying hard and maybe shadowing a few doctors in other fields and decide.
