I have not submitted ERAS yet.

I wanted to know if it is possible to switch my designated LOR's for each program AFTER I submit my application...

i.e. Do I basically need to choose my LOR's for each program before I click "Submit"? If so, MANNNNN this is going to be a lonnnnng weekend with some last-minute decision-making.

You can certify your app with or without your list of schools, as well as with or without assigning LORs.

Are your letters uploaded yet? THe problem with reassigning LORs after you certify is that if your letter is already uploaded, schools will get the letters you assigned originally.

after they take your money you have to go back through every program and check off what you want to assign.
so you submit general app and check all the programs you want to apply. They charge you money. Then you go back and check off what you want sent to them. This is a pain in the a..ssss if you have 30+ programs. My finger nearly fell off a few days ago.

Very helpful replies so far, thanks.

I am submitting my application within the next 3 days. So you're saying: I should get this thing submitted with just my choice of programs for now? Then go back when I want and assign my LOR's to each program?

I cannot add more schools / programs later, correct?

School transcript can be uploaded multiple times to reflect getting more rotation / Sub-I evaluations back, correct?

And how do I go about getting an USMLE transcript? Something I do through my school?

Thanks for any and all help. [/dumb]

You can add programs after submitting. You just have to pay for them as well. There is a very helpful guide by eras released for students. I would recommend reading it. It can be found from the era website. I think it's Valle myeras guide 2011 or something to that effect. Definitely submit without designating letters and then later u can reassign or assign letters. Cheers

Sure, that works.

Profoundly incorrect. You can add more programs at any time as long as you're willing to pay for them.

School transcript can be uploaded multiple times to reflect getting more rotation / Sub-I evaluations back, correct?
Technically correct, but good luck getting your school to do it more than once, maybe twice if you're lucky.

And how do I go about getting an USMLE transcript? Something I do through my school?

There's this thing called a FAQ, you should seriously look into it.
