Hi

Have any of you guys attended or visited Chatham University's campus and can comment on the campus and its facilities. I observed their virtual tour on the college website, but I have never visited the campus personally.

From the half-dozen times I've been there, I would say that the overall campus is beautiful. A lot of it is "old", but nothing appeared rundown. There is a lot of green space, and many of the buildings, if I'm not mistaken, are old mansions that have been converted. It seemed that the classrooms and labs used for PT were a bit spread out among buildings I thought. The science building was very nice though, and the university just acquired a building down the street. We were told that the PT department, for the most part, would be moved into that building by this coming summer.

The cafeteria and food there were typical campus fare. The library, coffee shop, etc were also typical of a small campus, nice and useful but nothing spectacular. The athletics facility, which is new, is really nice if that's your thing.

Did you apply there?

Thanks! Yes I did apply and received an interview invite for Regular decision on Jan 24, 2009🙄. However, I'm not 100% sure that I will attend. I love Pittsburgh, but I dont know much about the school besides the material found on their website. Do you know if they give out admission decisions before GRE scores are received? I plan to take my GRE next week and was wondering if attending the intervew will be a waste of time since my GRE scores are so late.:scared: Will you be attending Chatham University?

Congrats on the interview! I paid my deposit this week, so yes, I'll be attending. If it is any help in your decision, a few of the reasons I liked Chatham were that the program is 7 semesters, they will accommodate clinical placements to your interests, the school is small and personal, small class size, the faculty appeared very student-focused, and I like the PBL portion of the curriculum.

And if they gave you the interview invite, I wouldn't worry too much about the timeliness of your GRE scores. By the time you interview and they make decisions, your scores will at least be on their way, if not there. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to call admissions anyways though.
