So I jsut started working as a dent asst. until school in fall 08...dont wanna pay $500 at comm college to become xray certified...any cheap ways?? maybe online classes?

Will your dentist/office pitch in? My certification was taken care of by my dentist as part of my continuing education benefit. Having certification makes you a more profitable employee so some dentists will cover it. Also might check if they will pay for it and take pmts out of your check if you can't find another option and don't want to spit out all of the money at one time.
