S'up rjb. I'm going to be making the arrangements for the interivew as well. I am thinking I'll just be calling the Supershuttle service and have them take me from the airport to my hotel. When they sent the interivew invite, the school also lists some hotels that have a shuttle service from the hotel to the school. Something to consider...

North Chicago is really far from O'Hare, so I can see why its so expensive to get there from the airport. I think the second poster was right. stay at a nearby hotel and make use of shuttles, they are much cheaper. I was fortunate, my sister lives in a chicago suburb, so I had a free ride care of "brother-in-law taxi services " 👍

You can take the blue line cta from O'Hare to Clark (about 45 min) and then walk 10 minutes to Oglivie (sp?) (definitely refer to a map - its across from Union station - or ask a stanger on the street like I did) and then its an hour train on the Metra North Line to Lake Forest/Lake Bluff where you might have to take a cab about 6 minutes from there (I had a friend there so I got a ride at this part). The whole public transport trip takes about 2 hours but costs about $6 plus whatever that last taxi far is BUT keep in mind that if you taxi from the airport there might be traffic if its rush hour so it might take nearly as long anyway. Hope this helps! I was literally there last week staying with a friend.
