Hi Everyone,
At my school the chemistry sequence goes Chemistry I, Organic I and II then Intermediate Inorganic Chemistry. The inorganic class at my school is offered at the same time each semester and I will always have a conflict during the lecture and lab times because of my major (non science). To fix this problem, I registered for General Chemistry II at a local 4 year university this summer so I can take the MCAT in Jan. I didn’t think this would be an issue but a friend, who is in med school now, told me that schools will probably not like that I’ve gone from upper level courses during the year to a 100 level freshman class over the summer. I just finished my junior year and am done with all the prereqs minus this class. Do you think this will be a problem at all? There is no way I will ever be able to take inorganic at my school. Thank you!

I sincerely doubt they will care, especially because you're taking it at a 4 year uni. If anyone asks (and again, I doubt they will!) explain your situation and don't sweat it.

Shouldn't be a problem. They won't screen you out because of it, and it shouldn't affect whether or not you get an interview. If they ask about it in an interview, just tell them exactly what you have written and you'll be fine. Don't worry about it.
