i know this isn't a homework help thread but i am desperate and curious about this question. I just took a midterm in my chemistry class today and there was this really long question, which wasn't the problem, however the chemical reaction was so foreign to me and i would really appreciate if someone could help me with this. I know i answered the question but since the product of my reactants were wrong i probably won't get any credit. anyways, what is the reaction between dinitrogen pentoxide and ferrous hydroxide? thanks.

You will probably get more attention posting in the dat or Mcat threads where people are actively studying for gen chem as part of their admissions exam.

8 Fe(OH)3 + N2O5 -> 4 Fe2O5 + 2 NH3 + 9 H2O

Lol works out mathematically still
