A buddy of mine, Will Babington is literally one of the world's foremost experts on the Nautilus as seen in the Disney movie (he actually designed & sculpted several smaller scale models for Disney) among other sci fi vehicles. Recently he suffered from a severe tragedy. His son Edward was brutally attacked by his mentally ill aunt who stabbed the child's eyes. (The article states he is a ride operator which is kinda wierd because he does a lot of their models for movies & toys).

The event occurred in December but I just found out about it today. I see Will about once a year at the Louisville KY annual model convention (AKA Wonderfest) or I talk to him on the web once in awhile. Some mutual friends told me last they heard one of the child's eyes had to be removed, the other has a chance for recovery but with bad vision at best.

In the 2nd link is an article with donation information for a trust fund that will benefit Ed.
