Hi everyone!
I'm currently nearing the end of my third year, and for a long while now (read: since applying to med school) I've had my heart set on peds heme-onc - rotations have only enhanced my excitement about the field.
I'm presently in NY, and I'll probably want to stay here in the city as my husband recently started a new job. I've had contact with residents at CHONY, and although the program is amazing, they all seem burnt out, exhausted, and sometimes a tad bit jaded. I know that's pretty standard for residency, but I was wondering how Monty compares?
I'll definitely look at the other programs in NY as well, but I'm leaning more toward a stand-alone hospital for several reasons, fellowship being just one.
Thanks so much, in advance, for your help! And best of luck to all w/ the Match! 🙂
Thanks,
K
