I have to choose between KCUMB, WVSOM, CCOM, and TOURO Nevada.

I was wondering if any of you could help me out. I know everyone will say that no school is good that does not fit my personality. I am not asking anyone to help me decide which school is better, and which curriculum is better, and that other schools are not as good.

The truth is that all osteopathic medical schools are good, and you get out what you put in. I do not want anyone bashing any medical school, and I also dont want people telling me that the decision of choosing a medical school is only mine. I know that it is my decision, and I have ot find a place that fits me.

However, two of these fit my personality.
Out of this, I am hoping to get people and students who attend any of these schools to tell me what they really like about their school, what they do not like, and what they would change if they could change something about their school. I would also like to know about remediation policies, as well as curriculum, and costs, and professor and patient relationships and rotation sites.

I know I can google this all online, but I want to hear from students who have been through the experience, and who have matriculated at these schools and their perspectives. Student's perspectives will help me decide, and I dont want anyone criticizing others schools. I just want to know the benefits of each school from students/applicants, and anyone else.

Thank you, and anyone of your advice and information will be greatly appreciated.

If you are not from WV, cross off WVCOM; it is too expensive for out of state. CCOM has the best reputation on that list, but is kind of expensive, too.

I can't help to answer your question for the same reason that nearly everyone who reads this thread will be unable to answer you.....this is a PRE-medical forum......which means the vast majority of the people reading this particular sub-forum are pre-meds, and as such, have yet to actually attend med school. People in this forum can provide some basic info on these schools, but you are asking for specific opinions from those who actually have experience at these schools.

Yes, there are some actual med students who browse through this sub-forum, but I think you would have more luck if you posted in the Medical Students Forum as opposed to the PRE-medical forum.

By the way, have you been accepted to all the schools you mentioned?

I will also agree that if you are out of state, WV is far too expensive. Personally, if I had a choice of all of those schools there would be no contest...CCOM would be the easy choice.

Yea I have been accepted at all of those except Touro Nevada, which is an interview in a couple weeks. You are right I should post it in Medical Student Forum, but I wanted advice from alot of pre-meds who possibly interviewed at these schools, as well as those pre-meds that have confirmed their matriculance at any of these schools. I will also ask medical students as well. Thank you very much.

Why are you spamming my inbox for advice for interviewing at WVSOM on Feb. 9th and saying it is your first interview when you are telling everybody else that you have been accepted to several schools already, including WVSOM?

^^ lol. 👍

Good question. I got the same email except he subbed Touro-NV for WVSOM.

I have nothing against helping people, and I am sure this is all stemming from the anxiety we all experience when applying, but I got the same email, about 6 times....the exact same email, word for word.... if you keep doing that madskillz nobody is going to respond. I hope you did well at your interview today at WVSOM, the only advice I would have had to offer is to be yourself...and I encourage you to take that advice far beyond your interview experiences. Best of luck!
