I just got off the waitlist for one of the school's I applied to, and now I'm having trouble choosing between two schools. Basically, I was wondering how much does school ranking influence job/residency applications? Or is it more important to be close to the area you'd like to work in once you graduate so you can make connections?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I would rank connection >> school ranking. Pharmacy is very regional. If you can do both, that is even better 🙂

School ranking (which is the "impression" of who is a good school) will affect residencies more than jobs. However, it depends on how far they are apart. If one is #3 and one is not ranked, it might make a lot of difference. If they are both top 20-30 then I wouldn't stress too much over the actual number as you have no way to predict where they will be in 4 years.
