I am currently a thrid year at NSUCOM and am looking into EM electives. I am already set up for Mount Sinai (Miami) in Sept. I have Oct., Nov., and Dec. open for more electives. I also am considering UF-Shands in Jax. Other than that I am trying to find other EM programs out there (perferablly east coast) that would be a good fit for a NSU-COM student (i.e. DO-friendly, have a decent chance of getting an interview/spot there provided having a good month).

Basically I could use some help. Also, I was wondering since UF-Jax is an allopathic residency should I schedule that in Nov. or Dec. since the deadline is a little later?

NSU students: Is EM considered a primary care elective according to Nova? If it is, then I can do all 4 of my elective months in EM?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Any comments on St. Barnabas in NY, Albert Einstein in Philadelphia, New York United Hospital, and in general Michigan EM residencies would also be greatly apprciated.
