Hi guys. I sometimes have a hard time sleeping. For now, my classes start at evening so I don't worry about sleep. However, whenever I know that I need to wake up early the next day for something, like 8AM to go to med school or something else, I freak out! This fear of not sleeping and having serious health damage came out of nowhere and I was so fine a year ago! 🙁 I wish this thought never came to me in the first place.

I hear med school is 5x a week, starts early in the morning. Some people may have insomnia and doesn't that affect their ability to think as it's most important to stay on top of everything? How do you do it? I am not in med school at the moment but will be.

I read the other day that the best way of beating insomnia and fear of sleep is just letting go and not caring of the health effects, being chronically "tired" and that helped me grasp the idea, but I'm fearing I develop chronic insomnia b/c the thoughts just keep occurring.

Any help would be great! 🙂 I do try to exercise and do everything but sometimes the thought of having to do something to sleep makes you more nervous as sleeping is literally doing nothing. I heard of CBT but I don't think that will help me b/c regardless I know the bad health effects of sleep and the negative thoughts keep coming! How can that even change?

What's with all these troll posts recently? >_<

hey so some of you might have seen the thread about being in the pre-med club as a med student. basically this is related to that and your thread. I am curious how many med students here know of classmates or themselves picking up undergrads. conversely are there any underrads here who have smashed med students / know friends who have under similar circumstances. thanks. also where are the places where undergrads might hang out looking for a eligible student doctor thanks
