I recently saw a post refering to Chrononet. It predated SDN by a number of years. There was a coffee bean background on all the posts.

Does anyone out there remember this or know the story as to why it went away?

Here's a link to a thread that the old Chrononet moderators (Greg Chronowski, Kimberli Cox, and myself) posted in earlier this year:

As for why the forums went away, I think it simply had to do with shifting priorities as Greg and the rest of us moved forward in our careers.

Thanks Kent! I am going to petition that we bring the coffee bean look to SDN
