Hi everyone!

I'm kind of confused on distinguishing between epithelial tissue and muscle tissue, specifically smooth muscle. Epithelial lines most of your internal organs and external body surfaces, and smooth muscle does too. Does that mean that these type of organs, like liver have both epithelial and smooth muscle?

Yes. Epithelial tissue is present outside of the organs and in the lumen of organ structures like Ureter, Intestines, Uterus, etc...
