I know that there are similar threads but I've looked through them using the search application and they are all saying different things. Even the "stickies".

If you put that you are going to take the DAT in the future, will your application be on hold until the new scores are in? Has anyone got interviews even though they have indicated that they are planning on take the DAT in the future? PLEASE HELP!! thank you!!

correct. your app'll get mailed out to the schools, but the schools won't really do anything with it (read: invite you to interview) without your official DAT scores. so get on it!!!

so even if you have taken the dat before and you are planning to take it again (for improvement, not necessarily necessary), it is not possible for them to look at your application with the current scores?

yes unless you indicated on your app that you were planning to retake it, then they will put your application on hold until they get your most recent DAT score.

but if you didnt indicate a future test date, then they will review your app with your original DAT score and then decide whether you get an invite for an interview.
