Clarify these AACOMAS dates: May 15 vs. June 1 vs. July 1

can someone please verify that these dates and their corresponding AACOMAS priviledges [for lack of a better term] are correct:

May 15 - the day we can create an AACOMAS account; which means, we can start filling out the online application, copy & paste our personal statement, fill in the classes we've taken, and also the day that they start accepting transcripts

June 1 - this is up for debate, but LAST YEAR (matriculation 2006), this was the date we could actually click "submit" and let schools see our application

July 1 - the gospel according to UMDNJ's website that for THIS YEAR (2007 matriculation), this is the date we could actually click "submit" and let schools see our application


here's the deal: i want to time it out so that all my transcripts from all my schools arrive roughly on the day (or the week) that AACOMAS opens.. that's may 15th, right? i already know about the secondaries/LOR's being sent out roughly at the same time, we're talking primaries here..

This might be irrelevant or might help but on the allopathic schools, you can submit your app June 1 but the schools don't start downloading your info until around July 1.

Maybe this is what UMDNJ meant?

send everything ASAP. don't worry about which one gets there first. they keep a file waiting for everything that comes in under your name. and, yes the process takes a long time even if you get them in early. get ready to wait...hurry up.....wait......hurry up......AND WAIT. The medical school marathon!
