Hello all!
I'm new here and this is my first post, so I thought to try and be helpful for everyone else applying soon.
I looked up the list of optometry schools in the USA and I went to their various websites to try and find their most recent class profile with the stats of their admissions. Here's what I've found so far:
UC Berkeley: http://optometry.berkeley.edu/admissions/profile-1st-year-students
WesternU: http://prospective.westernu.edu/optometry/competitive
New England: http://www.neco.edu/admissions/class_profile.html
Michigan: http://www.ferris.edu/HTMLS/colleges/michopt/media/Files/profile-2011.pdf
State University of New York: http://www.sunyopt.edu/education/admissions/od_program/entering_class_profile
Houston: http://www.opt.uh.edu/academics/od/class-profile.cfm
Additionally, here's a chart with all of the schools:
http://www.sco.edu/admissions/Documents/profileoptometry.pdf
I hope this helps! I was a little nervous about applying until I actually looked at the numbers, and I noticed that I fall within the GPA range of what has currently been accepted, and for the most part I'm above average.
Good luck everyone, and I hope to see a few of you in fall 2013!
