So I'm sitting here and writing parts of our class show and I was wondering if any of your residency programs put on class shows? I've heard that stanford does.
What happens at the Christmas party stays at the Christmas party.
But yes. A well-known EM program in the North Central part of the country has a cracking good program of resident (and staff docs, and RNs, and Medics, and sometimes Security) shows. Most of them have gone to digital movies in this era of technology. Many of them are funnier than a typical block of prime-time sitcoms.
We have senior banquet at IU. it's a roast aimed mostly at graduating seniors, but anyone (PDs, RNs, secretaries, etc) are fair game. it's pretty no holds barred, as long as it's funny.
we filmed skits and put them together on a DVD, then had a few R2s emcee and transition between skits. it took a ton of time to put together, but it was worth it.
