Does anyone know if good scores on CLEP tests can qualify for prerequisites to optometry programs? There is no lab component to these tests (as far as I know), so I would think opt. programs would not accept them. From the CLEP web site, though, it states that the bio and chem tests "cover material that is usually taught in a one-year general biology/chemistry course." This might imply that some colleges give lab credit.

Anybody know anything about these tests and/or their applicability to optometry programs?

I don't know anything about CLEP tests. But, if I were you I would call the optometry schools you are interested in and ask them if they accept CLEP credits.
