Hey Everyone.
Is the Cliffnotes book a good practice for the pcat?
Also on the *Actual* pcat, how is the reading portion? Are the answers straight forward or what...

Thanks in Advance

i have the 5 practice cliff book and i love it for 2 reasons 1)you will know what to study 2)you will practice since they are real PCAT

everything else is good for, some of the questions on the real pcat appeared in the cliffs, reading on the other hand is a joke. you could prob ace those questions without even reading the passage

The 5 Practice Tests Cliffnotes book is fairy indicative of the real PCAT in biology and chemistry. Just remember that the book was published before the recent changes to the June '07 PCAT, so the math section will be more calc-intensive (disregard geometry questions). Try to take each of the sections in one sitting and really work on your timing since the PCAT is all about accuracy and speed. Supplementing Kaplan, Cliffsnotes, and the official tests is probably the best way to guarantee an acceptable score in my opinion. Best of luck!
