Did anyone have done the cliffs 5 practise test? Is the chemistry section is as difficult as pCAT? I found it is so difficult that I didn't know lots of the question.
hey, peeps, i thought the cliff notes 5 practice tests weren't so bad. The chem. section is difficult, but compared to the final exam in the kaplan prep book it's much easier. Also, Kaplan doesn't have much ochem prep! I'm very concerned with this because cliffs has ochem questions.
really, I thought Kaphalan final review book in chemistry section is a lot more easy than cliffs. The overall chem in cliffs is difficult. So compared to pCAT actually test, did any body know which one is more difficult?
I've been using the Kaplan book for a while now and just started using Cliff's book to take pratice exams. I think Cliff's is soo much harder than Kaplan (in chemistry).
I dont know which is closer to PCAT though 🙁
Well I only took 1 practice test of the Cliff book, but I took the PCATs in June... and even though there was a GOOD portion of Orgo in it, I'd say both Kaplan and Cliffs chem is much harder.
To me, Kaplan was easier in the little orgo that they had; while Cliffs was easier in gen chem.
I have a feeling the exam wouldn't cover so much Orgo 2 stuff (the Cliff's aldol and ketal stuff) though.
I did a lot better with Kaplan.
Except those time consuming stoichiometry problems on Kaplan, I would say it's more like real PCAT Qs.
Cliff notes has some good Qs but too many Qs that require periodic table to solve and that made me irritating. I admit that it has more Org. Qs than Kaplan but it lacks organization and tries to go too deep without plenty of explanations in comparison to Kaplan.
