What constitutes clinical medical experience. I am pretty sure I have none so far and would like to start to get crackin on that. What are some things I can do for clinical medical experience? Thanks a bunch guys.

per my answer, volunteering in a hosptial or clinic would count ( ER is a good place)

length of time: 6 mos to a year if possible,if not, at least 3 mos . this shows commitment as well as enough exposure to medicine

paid or volunteer experience where you see patients, and physicians are present

Free health clinics as a regular consistent volunteer for as long as you can.

In my class we have a good number of people who were EMTs. It is also a great place to get yoru experience.

Become an EMT. I tell you again...become an EMT. All that is required of you is one stinking course and you will know most of the material from your bio classes. The experience that I've had in this job has been priceless.

Volunteer with a rescue squad they should pay for the course, books, uniform (boots pants etc). Its free...and priceless...how cool is that? 😎

Any patient contact can be classified as clinical experience. If you volunteer in nursing home, for example, how is it any worse than if you worked in ER, or on the hospital ward. I know that my school pays a particular attention to letter of recommendation from a DO who worked with you (presumably), so if you can find, i guess, even a private office, and work with an osteopath it should look nice on your resume.
