I will have shadowing/clinical experience prior to applying -- I'm going to be working at clinics in both South Africa and Nepal. Is it neccessary that I shadow someone here in the US? I'm having difficulty finding people to shadow, so right now all my clinical experience is going to be international. Any opinions would be appreciated! thanks

It's certainly not necessary, but it would probably be beneficial. Shadowing in the US would give you insights into how the US medical system works, which, in addition to simply being good knowledge to have, may also be good fodder for interviews and essay questions.
