I'm trying to get more direct patient contact by possibly being a medical scribe. Supposedly, you can either be a paid scribe or non-paid (volunteer) scribe. Does it matter which option I choose in order for schools to see evidence of clinical exposure? One shows work experience whereas the other adds up my volunteer hours.

If you're doing the same job... why not get paid? I think medical schools won't care much if it is volunteered or paid...

Make that money while you can. The only money you'll see in med school is what you'll be paying back double.
