I plan to do a residency program after pharmacy school. Besides the GPA and letters of reccomendation what is the best thing to do / keep in mind while you're in pharmacy school to ensure id be a good candidate?

If it's going to a specific school, have you seen any specific school stand out when hiring or know of schools that have higher match rates or clinically based?

I think going to Chapman University is your best bet. Care to chime in @ChapmanPharmacy ?
What makes chapman a better school for a clinical pharmacist than the other California pharmacy schools around them? Also, is Chapman's pharmacy program new?

Join as many bullcrap clubs as you can and choose hospital rotations, try to get hospital rotations at places that offer residency so you can establish some connections. Also get teaching, leadership, volunteer, and research experience.

Have fun

show up to ur rotations with a stethoscope including retail ones... Also wear an Armani suit. Talk trash about retail and pretend like u are saving lives.

I have known a local hospital DOP for years, and she said that it looks really good to see pharmacy students volunteering regularly at the hospital. So in other words, provide free labor?
