Anybody know of any programs (now- or in the very near future) that are notorius for offering payed positions to get involved with research in either pain or spine? I'm really thinking about making a switch from anesthesia and I have minimal background in PM&R. thanks

I know of prorgrams with strong research opportunities but not of any that pay for residents to get involved with research.

If you are looking to do just research, there are opportunities with some of the bigger programs to do just research. For example, Kessler's research group, http://www.kmrrec.org/, has research fellowships. Similar programs probably exist at places like RIC and Washington.

So those are great if you really want to do research. If you are trying to do research merely as a way to get someone to pay you to do injections clincially- well, there you are going to be out of luck.
