What type of scheduling do you see at your clinic? I currently see a pt every 30 minutes and have 60 minutes for evaluations while also utilizing support staff. Trying to see what is common and how people manage stress of higher volume clinics. I have a colleague that sees pt's one on one for 40 minutes with no support staff and that doesn't seem to be a bad set-up and seems like you would be able to provide more cuing secondary to the one on one nature. Is this the norm or more of the outlier?

When I was working in outpatient clinic, I saw 1-3 patients/h without support. Had 30 min for eval. Had days when I had 10 evals back-to-back, 30 min each. Hated it. Got out of that place as soon as I got my permanent license.
There are people who enjoy fast pace clinics and there are those who do not. I think if you are uncomfortable with the pace in your clinic, you should look for another job at a slower pace place. It's not worth to wear out yourself.
