Hello, I have tried to search for this - and found some information on the web, but not much on this board. Has anyone done this in their training program? I am scheduled in two days to do it and I don't even really know what it is or how to prepare for it. I'm a PGY-1 - any thoughts of useful resources to help prepare?
Thank you

Never heard of that exact phrase before.
Tell me more.

I'm guessing it's the "new oral boards", where we have to pass three mock orals in front of faculty members at our institutions during our residency. This replaces the soon-to-be-defunct oral boards.

This is the terminology that the ABPN is using for the forms that training programs fill out to document a trainees performance on the first 3 sections of the old oral boards. There are several approved forms that could be used by a program. Your program should be able to provide you with more information.

so does anyone know (for sure) if the oral boards have been totally eliminated or are they just removing the live patirnt portion? i've heard so many different things and dont know what to believe.

The 2 last parts of the oral exam will be incorporated into a new all encompassing computerized exam. I don't think details have been released on the format. Here is a link:
