Hey everyone!
I am currently a 3rd year SGU student looking for information about clinical year at any of the state schools. I want the good the bad and the ugly when it comes to these schools and how they treat the students. Currently I'm wanting to track or focus mainly on large animal medicine. I’m trying to narrow down my list and currently I’m looking at Purdue, Virginia-Maryland, Kansas state, Illinois, Iowa and Mississippi. Any information and recommendations would be helpful!

As a general bit of advice, your clinical year experience will be influenced by your attitude regardless of where you end up. The classmates of mine who had issues were almost always the ones that complained constantly, put in minimal effort, ignored being called in, etc.

I went to Illinois and don't have any strong feelings (good or bad) about how we were treated. I graduated in 2019, though, so things may be different now.
