Hello!

I got a question on COCP_combined oral contraceptive pill

For which patient COCP is absolute contraindicated ?
Age >35 smoker

or

Thrombophlebitis

One more question on UTI and STD prevention and ovarian function test

1. What would be the appropriate recommendation to a patient with STD to prevent future infection? condem use vs. urinate after sex?
2. How about UTI like E-coli to prevent recurrence? condom use vs. urinate after sex
3. which is the best choice for Ovarian function test? FSH, LH, Estrogen or Progestrone?

Thanks

Smoke >35 or hx DVT contraindication OCP

Prevent UTI- if pt frequently gets UTI and sexually active prophylaxis with antibiotic ie (macrobid/bactrim) prior coitus.
Urination prior & after coitus can help
As far as condoms? I really don't think that has been proven.

Ovarian function test FSH day 3 of menses and estradiol
