Well I finally got my
Nissan Leakproof Backpack Bottle after Cabela's had some problems processing the order. I have not had a chance to use it much yet but so far I have been very impressed. The lid is easy to open and close with one hand. When the lid is closed the bottle is leak proof, even when left on its side for extended periods of time. The bottle is also very comfortable to drink from. What has impressed me most is the heat retention. I heated water in the microwave and poured it in the bottle then closed it up and left it overnight. When I put the water in it was 209 degrees, 10 hours later it was still 154 degrees! That was without even preheating the bottle at all. Even after 24 hours the water was 115 degrees which while not hot is still better than cold coffee.

). By then it's not hot, but it's definitely warm. It stays hot-hot until about 6pm-ish. The cool thing is it works the same way for ice-cold drinks! I work on Saturdays in the heat (I'm in TX, to give you an idea) for 8 hours at a mobile wellness clinic and it's still cold by the end of my shift. Don't remember how much I paid for it, but I think it was kind of expensive, because I remember freaking out a little about the price - somewhere in the range of $50 I think.
