Cognitive neuro/dementia programs

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Thank you. Any other suggestions anyone?

This may be too obvious a suggestion, but look for programs that offer geriatric medicine and geriatric psychiatry fellowships. The more geriatric specialists there are, the broader your education will be. The existence of these fellowships are also a good sign that there is a large geriatric population in that area.

Sorry I don't have any specific ideas to offer you.

University of Iowa has great emphasis on cognitive neurology. The chairman, Dr. Demasio, is the guru of cognitive neuro. Whether you can survive Iowa City, though, is a different story.

Iowa and Demasio is a good suggestion, but UCLA with Jeff Cummings is probably the mecca for dementia/neuropsych stuff. But to paraphrase Kasimagore, Whether you can survive LA, though, is a different story. 😱

What about the ff places? Any opinions?
1. Tulane
2. U Mass - Worcester
3. U Rochester
4. Wake Forest
5. U Tennessee
6. Allegheny

The "guru's" name is actually Damasio.

Northwestern has Mesulam who is also well regarded in Cognitive Neuro and dementias.
