Hi,

I'm unsure on whether the following 2 Cognitive Science courses I've taken count towards science GPA for DO school or BCPM for MD. The course titles are:

1) Neuroscience: A+
2) Neuroanatomy: C

They are both classes from the Cognitive Science department. 1 will help, 1 will hurt.
Any input is appreciated, thanks.

The AACOMAS site shows that Psych classes are under Behavioral Science, which doesn't affect sGPA.
It also shows Cognitive science in this section, but neuroscience and anatomy courses are in the Bio section..which is why I'm confused.
Thanks for your help.

Correct. With the new updated course classification this year for AACOMAS nearly all forms of psych classes are non sci. While your two classes come from the cognitve sci dept, their individual titles are very bio-sounding. Neuroscience itself is considered bio while anatomy is too so you can classify that as science. I imagine though with a C, you will want to try to classify it as behavioral science to avoid the hit to science gpa. Try it out. Do the same for MD. You won't be penalized for any changes that are made.

Thanks, that seems like the best way to go. Much appreciated.
