What do I need to know about Collagen & Keratin?
Collagen -can be found from extracellular matrix, triple helix
is it secondary structure or tertiary protein structure?
Keratin- all I know when it's alpha-keratin it's hair, silk form by spiders

what do you guys think?

that is pretty much i know, I think, collagen plays a role in the exterior shell of animals or plants, i can' t remember its was in Schuams.

Callogen is a fibrous protein...it has lots of glycine (almost every third position)...osteoblasts secret callogen.

Keratin is also a fibrous protein which make interemediate filaments are made up of!

I think this should be enough lol

2 components of collagen are hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine. Under hydroxylated of either weakens the structure. Vitamin C will help with hydroxylation for collagen. 😀
