Hi! I just got accepted to dental school for the 2005 cycle, and have got the notice from my school to begin collecting teeth.

For those of you who are in the same position, how do you approach this? Can you just walk in an office and ask if you can have their extracted teeth, or do you send a fax, is this something they need avanced notice on or could you just call and then drop in?

Thanks,

Jane

I'd say just drop in and explain your situation (that's what I plan on doing in a couple weeks) and ask them to save them for you. Most likely they won't have a bunch of teeth lying around but they can collect them for you instead of throwing them away.

They went to dental school once upon a time, they know what it's like.

Just go to the office and tell the receptionist you're entering school in the fall and would like to ask dr. _____ about the possibility about collecting teeth. Just ask if it's convenient you'll wait if he can talk to you.

not too hard. Go to clinics that do immediate loading dentures or any kind of denture places basically. That or maybe medicaid clinics. They'll have the most variety in teeth and will have ones that will work in natural tooth block and endo more than likely.
