So I was wondering if they look at applications submitted before the deadline? For instance, Barrett's (ASU) priority deadline is November 15th, so if you submitted before that date, would they see it, as in review it? Cause I will be taking the October SAT and the score will be available around end of October or beginning of November. So does it hurt to submit the application a little close to the deadline or what is the deal? Thanks🙂

Doubt they would review it, and especially doubt it'll hurt you. Unless it's rolling admissions, they generally take a while. (And even if it was rolling admissions, I would still say submit it earlier rather than later because you never know what can happen)

If I were you I'd submit it; just call the admissions office and let them know you are re-taking it if you are truly afraid they'll be looking at an earlier score. Good luck dude! 🙂

Thanks! Someone on CC posted this, "Barrett has "rolling admissions" which means they accept students until they're full. Essentially, the earlier you apply, the more likely you are to earn a spot." Also, decisions are made by December 31st so that's freaking awesome! I need to check when applications are first available!

still maintain my idea 😀 and yeah, just a heads up - the wait will suck no matter what

If it's rolling admission, definitely get your application in as soon as you can. I'm not sure if this is true about the school that you're applying to, but I know that a lot of schools will accept SAT scores after an early action application deadline has passed and will still consider them. So if you sent in your app by September but wanted to take the October SAT, you could just get College Board to send them to your school when they become available. Again, I'm not sure if this applies to ASU, so check and make sure! And good luck!
