When do you wake up, go to classes, study, go to sleep? I'm very curious.

Lulz... Sleep? What's that? Wake up @ 5 or 6am everyday for my M-F workout or Sat + Sun work sched (I work every weekend 6am-430pm in an entirely different city that takes me two hours to go to/from. Thankfully I stay overnight on Sat). Go to class til 2-3ish (4ish on lab days) then study in the evenings and try to find a small window of opportunity for Netflix then make it to bed around 11-12ish unless I am up late studying til 1-2am depending on if I have an exam the next day or not. I have to schedule an appointment for intimacy. TMI, maybe? Sad, but true. I am sure many married couples, esp those with kids, can relate. Just something to think about.

My schedule varies a bit because of labs on Tuesday and Thursday. Here's the gist.

6:45 - 7.45 AM: Wake up, shower, check email, smoke with roommate/by myself, and eat.
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Go to classes.
12:00 - 6:00 PM: Catch up on homework and study as needed while I'm at work. (important)
6:00 - 7:00 PM: Head home to eat.
7:00 - 10:00 PM: Chill and smoke (hookah, etc.) with friends.
11:00 PM - 12:00 AM: Check up on what I need to do for tomorrow and then pass out while watching TV.

It's my senior year and classes are much harder than before, but everything is surprisingly manageable with this routine.

6:45 am: wake up, shower, head off to work
7:37 am: end up at the rinky dink gas station to buy a .99 Rip It! Sugar Free Energy Drank.
8:05 am: Arrive at work and buy a croissant, egg, and sausage sandwich at the cafeteria.
3:00 pm: Skip 3:00 pm class to stay at work.
4:15 pm: leave work, go home, and do w/e I want (which usually doesn't involve a lot of schoolwork)

1:30 pm: leave work to head to a mandatory discussion at 2:00 pm (ugh!)
~3:15 pm: get the hell outta that useless discussion.

No obligations!

I usually leave work early if I have an exam that day.

I only have 14 hours spread across 4 classes, so this semester is lighter than most. A typical Monday/Wednesday:

8 AM- Wake up
8- 9:15- Light nap
9:15-10:15- Wake up, hate life, shower, steal roommate's Lucky Charms, talk like a leprechaun, hate life slightly less
10:15-11:00- ride bike to class, study until 11
11:00-12:15- Physiology. Listen to professor pronounce "neuron" as "neurone" even though he isn't British.
12:15-12:45- Back at apartment, steal roommate's food for a light lunch.
1:00- 4:00- Driving range, usually two buckets of balls. Hit irons low to high, then work out that slice in my drive. Then putting. On Fridays, I play 18.
4:00- 5:00- Shower? Nah. Douse self with cologne, study.
5:00-6:15- Biochem. Listen to my buddy who got into med school talk about how awesome he is. Just kidding, he's really cool.
6:15- 2:00 AM: Some combination of studying, Super Smash Brothers, dinner, studying, pranking my roommate and studying.

Looks like there's no free time to go workout at the gym with the exception of rxlea

@nexus14...good luck with you exam today👍

My day-to-day schedule is kind of crazy to explain, but here goes:

M: 7AM - 9:30 PM
T: 7:15AM - 5:00PM
W: 7AM - 5:30 PM (and 10PM-12AM)
R: 9:30AM - 8:00 PM
F: 7AM - 2PM

This includes class, research, RA, and the class I TA. Doesn't include all extracurricular things.

So..I don't sleep much. Haha. Usually 6 hours, max 8.

When do you wake up, go to classes, study, go to sleep? I'm very curious.

M-F

5:00-7:00AM Gym
7:00-8:00AM Drive to rotation
8:00-5:00PM Rotation (one hour lunch, 2 (15 minute break))
5:00-6:30PM Drive Back Home
7:00-9:00PM Meetings
9:00-10:00PM Errands
10:00-11:00PM TV
11:00-5:00AM PASS OUT

Sat-Sun
Study, newsletters, community service, hang out with friends, dinner, lunch, meetings, emailing, facebooking, planning social activities, fundraising etc...

To those of you who have the motivation to go work out at 5am, I applaud you. I could never do that. I'm only taking 4 classes but its 17 hours worth.
- I wake up at 6:30 everyday for my 8am class. MTWR (no classes friday woo)
- Sit in the library for about an hour doing homework/studying & then go to next class then the next class immediately after
- Come home, eat, watch tv, work on homework, homework, eat dinner, internet, homework, random crap, sleep by 10:45pm.
-I'm totally slackin on how much I do compared to you all. Its not much but many weeks feel like they will never end with homework/studying. Free time can make you stir crazy if your like me and have nothing to do haha (sad but true)

My work schedule is absolutely absurd.

Monday:
6:30 - wake up, do some homework
9:30 - 12:30 class
2:00 - 10:00 work

Tuesday
7:00 - 3:00 work (yes, I pull the closing shift then opening routine - it's not fun)
5:00 - 7:00 climb climb (my version of a workout)

Wednesday
6:30 - wake up and homework
9:30 - 12:30 - class
I have the rest of the afternoon to study, do homework, whatever

Thursday
6:30 - wake up and finish that lab report that I didn't want to do on Wednesday
12:00 - 5:30 inorganic chemistry lab
6:00 - 8:00 climb climb

Friday
Same as Wednesday

Saturday
7:00 - wake up
9:00 - 2:00 work

Sunday
Prepare for it to all begin again...

I'm dead serious when I say this... I go to class for tests/quizzes/labs, study the day before or day of the test, and thats about it.

4th year in college, accepted to pharm school, 91bio/88chem on pcat

I have a lot of free time to do whatever I want! I work sat/sun (13-14) hours a week

I don't get straight A's however 🙂

No point to go to class when the information is given to you on powerpoints, and the teacher reads it.

I am sure this will all change once I start pharmschool in Aug/2011.

I had a fairly easy schedule this quarter, but that's because I graduate after Spring quarter, so I'm in the home stretch!

M/W

Wake up around 7, catch the bus at 7:45 am
Class from 8:30-9:18; 9:30-10:18
Work (on campus) from whenever I can get there after class until 2:30 pm
Class from 3:00-4:18 pm

Home to do homework, housework, etc. On Monday, I have an Ice Hockey game that usually starts sometime between 7:30 and 10:30 pm (yes, we have 10:40 games sometimes...sometimes we have 7:00 games, it's stupid). In bed once the adrenaline wears off, so usually by 1-1:30 am

T
Wake up at 7, leave by 7:45
A chem lab from 8:30-12:18
Microbio lab from 1:30-4:18.

Yes, Tuesdays SUCK. Lab for 7 hours, ugh. So glad THAT's over!
Usually bed early because of being wiped from lab, so like 10-11 pm.

Th
Sometimes sleep until 9, but usually wake up early to study and leave by 9:45
Class at 10:30-11:18
Micro lab 1:30-4:18

Thursdays I work on lab reports (usually due Fridays) and watch my shows that are on TV 🙂
In bed by midnight.

F
Same as Monday/Wed except no 3:00 class, so I work from after my 10:18 class is over until I feel like going home (usually between 2 and 4 pm, my boss is really flexible).

Sat
My one day to truly sleep in...Unless I have a test or something the following Monday, Saturdays are my goof off days. I may do some studying in the late morning or early afternoon, but generally am off with friends by 2 or 3 pm and we stay up late.

Sun
Designated homework day. Usually up by 8 or 9 and start studying full throttle, usually until about 7 or 8 when I relax.

Yeah, I'm really set in my schedule, if you can't tell. I get really cranky if I don't get like 7 hours of sleep too, so that's important. To be honest I don't do much socializing and cram in more study time as my assignments demand.

WOW i am the only one with sleep patterns of an elderly person.
Mon-Thurs
5-6am: workout
7am-2pm: classes with two hour-long breaks to eat and relax
3pm-5pm: relax, eat, peruse online forums
5pm-8pm: homework / study
usually in bed by 9 😴

Friday
all day studying, doing homework, laundry, grocery shopping, going out with friends etc.

Sat-Sun
6am-3pm: work (at a bakery, hence the early start)
3pm-8pm: relax, workout and / or homework and studying
again, in bed by 9-ish

I didn't even know that was possible.😕

I'm definitely a night person, too... even though I have 8:00 am class three days a week.

I've noticed I'm in bed by 9-9:30 too! Ever since I had to wake up at 6:45. Sometimes I wake up at 2:30am thinking its time to wake up for work. I'm becoming more and more of a morning person. weird...

1pm - 10pm - recover from last night, eat, try to relax
10 pm - 2 am dunkin donuts to try to study but I usually don't accomplish much
3 am - 10 am sleep

So, my life is out of control. I don't sleep much. I eat at different times. The main problem, I cannot study effectively during the day, I'm a night owl. I a half hour of sleep on a table at school, or a couple hours at home during the afternoon. I have no idea what I'm going to do when I start pharmacy school and it's at 8 am m-f.

What I'm seeing here is that most of you guys don't really get much studying done :/ Pharmacy school will require more than just 2 hours a day of studying, right?

Every semester as a pre-pharmacy student I have had class and work from 8/9am-5pm Monday through Friday. At night I do intramural sports, volunteer, do other extracurriculars, and study for class while watching tv. I spend time with friends playing in sports or on thursdays typically, otherwise the weekends are open to do whatever. I rarely miss classes though and pay attention in class so I can try to understand the info once before I study it. You really learn to manage your time as you go through college. My first semester as a freshman was aweful, like a 3.07 gpa, but since then I have gotten nearly a 4.0 in my classes and I do way more now than when I was a freshman.

5-9am: wake up, get nauseated, have coffee, feel better

8-12 or 3: go to class, hate life, drink more coffee, feel better

(some days i work 2 - 9pm)

7pm: think about studying, eat food, get tired, drink more coffee, feel better

evening - am morning hours: study, go to sleep

weekends: i normally do community service/volunteer hours, sleep, drink coffee, annoy boyfriend when not at work

Haha you volunteer at Miami Children's huh?

I just found my ID card in my kitchen cabinet about 10 min ago.

Where do you go to school? I used to study at Dunkin Doughnuts too because they have free internet, and the internet at my apartment was garbage. lol

I guess everyone's posting their schedules. Here's mine. 16 units (quarter system) in my senior year, so it's a bit less hectic than most.

Monday:
Volunteer research all day (about 10am - 6pm)
Practice (I'm a captain of a sports club) 8pm - 11pm

Tuesday
Class from 11 am to 2 pm, 5pm to 8pm
Research from 2pm to 5pm ish

Wednesday
Research from 10 am to 1:30 pm
Class from 2pm to 6pm

Thursday
Class from 11am to 2pm, 5pm to 8pm
Research from 2pm to 5pm ish
Practice from 8pm to 9:30pm

Friday
Research from 10am to 1:30pm
Class from 2pm to 6pm

So I spend most of my free time at research, and after I'm done for the day, I try to do as little homework as possible. I fill my Sundays with homework and studying. Friday and Saturdays are my time to relax. This quarter, I'm doing a lot of studying on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well, just because I get out of class/work relatively early compared to other days.

Not gonna lie, I get maybe 7 to 8 hours of sleep a day (with the exception of the days before the midterms/finals), it's really nice. For me, it's all about figuring out what I can live with not accomplishing for the day.

Yeah, I volunteer at Miami Children's lol. They added another card now that you must carry around beside the ID.

I'm going to MDC, basically all campuses lol. I love Dunkin Donuts, if it weren't for it being 24 hours, my grades would not be where they are at lol. And its not like Starbucks that you get all those ***** that like to shout right next to you as you try to study.. >.<

I volunteered back in 2009 and they just finished changing the regulations on what we could do in the pharmacy because some ***** did something horrific (they wouldn't tell us what it was, but I am assuming they probably stole something). From then on the role of volunteers in the pharmacy was more limited, but I'm not sure if it's still the same way.

I took post-bac classes mainly at the Kendall campus because I lived about a mile down the street, but I also took a class at the North campus once because I moved to Ft Lauderdale for a little bit. I love Dunkin Doughnuts too... it's always more quiet than Starbucks with more room, and the drinks are really good and cheap.

I kinda hate going to MCH to be honest. It's slave work. They see you as a liability issues so the only thing you're "supposed" to touch is stuff like Xopenex and Albuterol. It's not fun, whatsoever. But a few pharmacist there have liked me so I get to touch a little bit more stuff 😀

There's always that one idiot that messes it up for everybody.
